3W28 Show build
This week was the show build. I managed to borrow a car so I could take my bean slab and pillows to the college on Thursday. Painting and fixing things was still going on and the IT room was not ready for me to start setting up.
I returned Friday where Anthos and cleaned up the IT room and set up Paul’s work, along with our own. After a few emails and phone call I hope that I have set up Paul’s work to how he imagined it. There were some computer glitches and the G5’s are sitting on top of the desks, rather than under them, but in general I think the room will turn out really good.
There was no hoover and with the floor covered in wood and paint, I will have to return Monday to complete my build, finish cleaning up and take photos of the exhibits to post online.
I have to say the exhibition will look really good once complete. John’s projection is looking amazing, along with Nick’s work on the lovely plasma screen in the hall – both give a real feel for digital work. Tara’s wall stickers look fantastic and I can’t wait to see her site up and running, same with Lucy’s book and site. Both Paul and Anthos’s work looks great up on the walls and Sean’s piece was fun to play with once he got the camera to work.
It was great to finally meet everyone after 2 years of communicating online even though it felt a bit strange actually seeing people in the flesh!
